Mohamed holds an MSc in Computer Vision from Mohamed Bin Zayed University of Artificial Intelligence (MBZUAI), Abu Dhabi, UAE. He is currently a researcher in the BioMedIA group.
Before joining MBZUAI, he had graduated with first class honors from Multimedia University, Malaysia, with a bachelor's degree in electronics engineering. During this time, he also interned as a software engineer in the research and development team at Software AG and developed a mobile application for illegal signage recognition and classification. Apart from that, he has had experience in general computer vision applications, electronic circuit design and simulation, mobile application development and web development.
During his master's degree, his research revolved around medical imagining, particularly in diagnosing coronary artery disease from ultrasound imaging. He published the following two papers as a result of his research:
His other projects included CT-based kidney tumor segmentation, human pose estimation and object detection. Meanwhile, he also interned for LabibAI as a machine learning engineer.
