Hussain Alasamwi is currently a master's student in Machine Learning at MBZUAI. Alasmawi got his bachelor's degree from United Arab Emirates University (UAEU) where he majored in Mathematics. During his undergraduate studies, he researched in the field of biological mathematics working in infectious diseases. Upon graduation, he worked in the Alfuttaim group as a business analyst for Toyota&Lexus brands.
Alasmawi is supervised by Dr. Mohammad Yaqub and works on developing deep learning methods to detect fetal congenital heart diseases through ultrasound.
