Ameera Bawazir graduated with a master's in Machine Learning from MBZUAI. In her thesis, she worked with medical data to segment COVID-19 infection from 3D lung CT images. Ameera graduated from Khalifa University in Abu Dhabi with a bachelor's degree in applied mathematics and statistics - a mathematical biology concentration. Her bachelor's graduation project was on addressing long waiting times for healthcare cyclical demand service company by delivering statistical analysis, data visualizations, and developing supervised machine learning models. After graduation, she interned at IBM data science center of excellence to help entities and governments improve their processes and services. She is passionate about utilizing artificial Intelligence and data science for enhancing people’s life.
