Prediction and Quantification of Coronary Artery Disease (CAD) in Echocardiography Images

Echo CAD

Coronary Artery Disease (CAD) is a heart condition caused by plaque buildup in the inner walls of the coronary arteries. Typically, stress echocardiography (ultrasound imaging of the heart) is used to diagnose CAD when patients are likely to develop CAD and are experiencing symptoms such as chest pain.

The goal of this project is to use AI to predict and quantify the severity of CAD through automated analysis of echocardiography images, which will in turn reduce problems such as inter- and intra-observer variability and act as a supporting tool for doctors in the assessment of CAD.
